Ontario Nature is a non-profit conservation organization established in 1931 that protects and restores natural habitats through research, education and conservation. Ontario Nature has over 140 member groups and 35,000 individual members and supporters. This grassroots network of local nature clubs, 'friends of' organizations, land trusts and individuals is the strength of Ontario Nature, allowing us to carry out successful local projects, as well as regional and provincial initiatives.

BC Nature

BC Nature is a federation of local natural history groups and represents 50 local nature clubs throughout BC. Our legal name is the Federation of BC Naturalists. BC Nature works to protect biodiversity, species at risk, parks and other natural areas throughout the province. Our members participate in many groups that help shape public policy on our environment. Our member clubs are at the forefront of many conservation and stewardship projects. Since becoming a registered society in 1969, we have been working towards the goals of education and conservation, reflected in our motto: “To Know Nature and To Keep It Worth Knowing”.


Federation of Alberta Naturalists

The Federation of Alberta Naturalists (FAN) was founded in 1970 and has become a provincially recognized voice for Alberta's naturalists. FAN is a dynamic network of nature oriented clubs with upwards of 5,000 members participating in the study, enjoyment, and conservation of wild Alberta. FAN's greatest strength is our province-wide focus on natural history issues. For all those with a sense of wonder about nature, from the familiar and common wildlife of the urban landscape to the endangered and rare species of the remote mountaintop, FAN offers a chance to share nature with kindred spirits. In our modern environment nature needs more FANs.


Nature Saskatchewan

Nature Saskatchewan has been dedicated to the conservation of Saskatchewan's natural environment since 1949. It promotes appreciation and understanding of our natural world through conservation, education and research. Nature Saskatchewan speaks for the protection and preservation of natural eco-systems and their biodiversity through research and viable conservation practices and connects nature and culture through outreach programs and services. The organization believes that nature is not a place to visit, but home, and strives to leave a legacy of our natural heritage for future generations. With over 1300 members Nature Saskatchewan provides programs and services that provide knowledge an experiences for those who have a love for nature.


Toronto Field Naturalists

Founded in 1923, the Toronto Field Natruralists encourages the enjoyment and preservation of our natural heritage, and provides opportunities to share these interests with other members.  Members enjoy eight newsletters, over one hundred guided nature walks and eight informative illustrated lectures every year.  Although most of our members live in the city, we are conscious of the important role that the Boreal forests play in providing habitat for the birds we enjoy watching in Toronto’s ravines, parks and along the waterfront.  We are pleased to be partners in the Save Our Boreal Birds campaign.

The Natural History Society of Newfoundland and Labrador was reconstituted in 1966 following earlier societies of the 1930s and 1950s. Membership is open to anyone interested in nature in this beautiful province. With a special focus on birds, SAVE Brasil works to conserve natural environments and to improve people's quality of life.


Falklands Conservation

Falklands Conservation, a non-governmental charity, works to protect the natural heritage of the Falkland Islands by promoting sustainable tourism and fishing practices, undertaking restoration of wildlife habitats, researching threats and gathering basic information on the Islands' ecology, and helping young people, visitors and the community appreciate the native flora and fauna. As the BirdLife International Partner designate for the Falkland Islands, 22 Important Bird Areas have been identified. A number of these sites have been designated due to the large seasonal congregations of migratory birds from the arctic and Canadian Boreal Forest.

Aves Uruguay researches and monitors birds and their habitats in Uruguay. The organization produces a range of diverse educational awareness materials, conducts endangered species research and participates in Neotropical Waterfowl Census work.
